Handmade Fused & Stained Glass

Hi reader,

The holiday sale is on. Code HOLIDAY15 takes 15% off handmade glass in the shop through December 15. The button below applies it for you, so there is nothing to type. It covers the handmade glass only, not the printed merch or the books.

New this week: the Mountain Sunset Stained Glass Suncatcher, $65

A round stained glass window panel with warm red and rust mountains beneath a golden sun, a turquoise sky, a deep-blue horizon and vivid green accents. Light changes the character of the glass through the day, from bold jewel tones to a glowing backlit landscape. It is one of a kind, the hanging chain is included, and the listing shows both the front and the reverse so you can see exactly what you are getting.

Also new: a red, white and blue fused glass dish ($40). Bold red, cobalt, white and black glass in a free-form shape with gently lifted edges, made as a decorative catchall for jewelry, keys or small keepsakes. One of a kind.

For Halloween, and right after it

Halloween is a week from today. If you want a little of it to wear, the orange, green and black glass teardrop necklace ($14) is a small handmade fused glass pendant on a silver-tone chain.

And for the morning after, when the pumpkins come down and the snowmen go up: the handmade fused glass snowman ($24.95) and the fused glass star magnets ($15, about 1.5 inches, in orange and white, red, sparkling blue, or black and clear) are both in the Holiday Gift Shop.

Care, in one line. Hang a suncatcher from a hook rated for its weight (a suction cup will not hold it), and wipe the glass gently with a soft cloth. Skip harsh cleaners and sudden temperature changes.

Know someone who loves color in a window? Forward this to them. They can get the Saturday glass news here: subscribe to Glassbound Ink. And hit reply to tell me which you would hang first, the mountains or the stars.
