Account Settings

Manage your account, profile, integrations, and preferences. Customize StorytellerOS to work the way you want.

Accessing Settings

Go to Settings from the main navigation to access all account and app settings.

Profile Settings

Your basic account information:

Name	Your display name (not public)
Email	Login email address
Avatar	Profile picture
Timezone	For scheduling and timestamps

Changing Email

Enter new email address
Click Save
Verify new email via confirmation link
Old email remains active until verified

When you connect (or reconnect) GitHub, StorytellerOS automatically creates the folder structure for your content:

images/cover-images/ — Book cover storage
images/social-images/ — Social media graphics
pen-names/ — Manuscript files organized by author

Social Accounts

Connected social media profiles:

Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
Connection status
Reconnect expired connections

Tip

Check integration connections weekly. Expired connections can cause scheduled posts to fail.

API Keys

Configure your own API keys for AI features:

OpenAI (for AI writing assistance)
Anthropic (alternative AI provider)
Freepik (for image generation)

Notification Settings

Control what notifications you receive:

In-App — Bell icon notifications
Push — Browser/device notifications
Email — Email notifications and digests

Configure per notification type and set quiet hours.

Appearance

Customize how StorytellerOS looks:

Theme — Light, Dark, or System
Density — Compact or Comfortable
Font size — For the writing interface

Writing Preferences

Customize the writing experience:

Default font — For the editor
Line spacing — Single, 1.5, or double
Auto-save interval — How often to save
Word count display — Show/hide while writing
Spellcheck — Enable/disable

Manage your subscription:

Current plan

Update payment method
Change or cancel plan

Note

StorytellerOS uses your own API keys for AI features, so there are no additional AI costs on your subscription.

Download all your data:

Delete Account

Permanently delete your account:

Removes all data from our systems
Your Airtable data remains (you own it)
Cannot be undone

Your Data, Your Control

Your content is stored in your Airtable base, which you own. Even if you delete your StorytellerOS account, your Airtable data remains yours.

View and manage active sessions:

See all logged-in devices
Log out specific sessions
Log out all sessions

Magic Links

StorytellerOS uses passwordless authentication:

Login via email link
No password to remember or steal
Links expire after use

Airtable Settings

Configure your Airtable connection:
