Athenia Creative Services, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates StorytellerOS, a business intelligence platform for authors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Our Commitment: StorytellerOS is built on a privacy-first, Bring Your Own Keys (BYOK) architecture. We do not store your creative work, manuscripts, social media content, or generated images on our servers.

Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address (for authentication and communication)
• Account preferences and settings
• Subscription and billing information (processed by Stripe)

Usage Information

• Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited)
• Feature usage analytics
• Performance and error logs

Third-Party API Keys

You provide your own API keys for third-party services (OpenAI, Anthropic, social media platforms, etc.). These keys are encrypted and stored securely. We use them solely to facilitate your use of the platform.

Your Creative Data

• Manuscripts and creative writing: Stored securely in your StorytellerOS account, isolated per user, never shared or used for AI training, and exportable at any time (to Airtable, GitHub, Google Drive, or a zip file). Accounts using our legacy storage mode keep manuscripts in their own connected GitHub repository and data in their own Airtable base.
• Email contacts and campaigns: Stored securely in your account and never shared, sold, or used for any purpose other than sending the emails you create. Emails are delivered through your own SMTP provider using credentials you supply.
• AI-generated content: Communications with LLMs go directly through your API keys; nothing is sent to any AI provider unless you explicitly use an AI feature.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain the StorytellerOS platform
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send service updates and important notifications
• Improve platform features and user experience
• Provide customer support
• Comply with legal obligations

Third-Party Services

StorytellerOS integrates with the following third-party services:

• Stripe: Payment processing and subscription management
• Supabase: Authentication, user management, and secure data storage
• Your SMTP provider: Email delivery via credentials you supply (e.g., Amazon SES, Resend, Postmark)
• Airtable, GitHub, Google Drive: Optional backup/export destinations you connect (and primary storage for legacy-mode accounts)
• Social Media Platforms: Publishing content via accounts you connect
• LLM Providers: Optional AI assistance via your API keys (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google)

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, secure API key storage, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Opt-out of marketing communications
• Withdraw consent for data processing

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Upon account deletion, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where required by law.

Children's Privacy

StorytellerOS is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or platform notification.
