Ads Studio

Amazon Ads

Connect your Amazon Ads account so Sponsored Products spend flows straight into your P&L — no spreadsheets, no manual entry.

Connecting Amazon Ads

There is nothing to set up in Settings first — the whole flow lives in Ads Studio:

  1. Go to Ads Studio → Amazon
  2. Pick the pen name you want to connect
  3. Click Connect Amazon Ads
  4. Sign in with your Amazon account when prompted
  5. Tick the checkboxes for whichever advertising profiles belong to this pen name
  6. Save

Tip

One Amazon account can serve all your pen names. If you write under several pen names, connect each one from Ads Studio, signing in with the same Amazon account each time, and tick only the profiles that belong to that pen name.

Syncing

Once connected, Ads Studio keeps your Amazon Ads data up to date automatically:

  • First connect — pulls roughly 90 days of history so you have real context right away, not just data from today forward
  • After that — spend and performance refresh automatically every day, no action needed
  • Sync now — click this button anytime you want a manual refresh instead of waiting for the daily update

Note

Numbers for the last few weeks can shift slightly even after they first appear. Amazon restates its reporting data for up to 28 days, so a campaign's recent spend or sales figures may adjust as Amazon finalizes them. Older data is stable.

Troubleshooting

"Needs reconnect" banner

If you see an amber banner saying Amazon Ads needs to be reconnected, Amazon has stopped authorizing the connection — this can happen if a password changes or access is revoked on Amazon's side. Click Reconnect Amazon Ads and sign in again. Your profile selections and historical data are not lost.

No advertising profiles show up

If nothing appears in the profile checklist after connecting, make sure the Amazon account you signed in with actually has an active Amazon Ads account with at least one advertising profile, then try reconnecting.

One Connection per Pen Name

Amazon Ads connects at the pen name level. If you write under multiple pen names, you will need to repeat the connect steps for each one — even if they all use the same Amazon account.
